A framework for safe reuse of demolition waste
A research workshop of the Fondation Bâtiment Énergie, coordinated by the CSTB and involving the MECD Institute for the management of a project on reuse, has developed eight guides to increase the reliability of residual performance of eight product families for their reuse in new construction after removal from demolition sites.
New rooftop greenhouses in Europe
How much energy, water and CO2 emissions can be saved thanks to rooftop greenhouses? The advantages of these systems are being analyzed by eleven European partners from five countries, including the CSTB for France, as part of the GROOF project (Interreg North-West Europe program).
Developing a method to assess interactions between urban systems and biodiversity
Measures to protect biodiversity have been reinforced in the regulations on urban development, particularly with the Law on the Protection of Biodiversity adopted in 2016. The objective is to provide the stakeholders of development and construction with indicators and tools to assess what impacts buildings and neighborhoods have on biodiversity.
